Brescia hosts Lazio at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti in a match from the 18th round
Thanks to the wins against SPAL and Lecce, Brescia made two important steps towards the survival. Right now the newcomers in the Calcio are 18th in the league with 14 points, but just one point behind the 17th Sampdoria and the safe zone. They are still in a big danger, but at least they are now more confident that they can actually change their fate at the end of the season.
In their last game in the Serie A before the arrival of the new year Brescia won another precious point. Eugenio Corini’s team visited Parma at the Ennio Tardini and went home with one point after a 1-1 draw. Mario Balotelli opened the score for the visitors and Brescia were pretty close to winning a point there, but Parma’s Alberto Grassi equalised in the injury time.
Lazio are having a very solid season in the Serie A so far. The Eagles are third in the league with 36 points, marching towards a return to the Champions League. They even have a game in hand, so they can improve their position further more.
Lazio are in an amazing form right now – they have won all of their last five games in the league. Before the break Simone Inzaghi’s boys had a tough visit to Cagliari, which they managed to win with 2-1. What’s impressive is that Lazio scored both of their goals in the injury time of the match. Luis Alberto and Felipe Caicedo put the ball in Rafael’s net, winning the game for their team.
In our soccer matches tomorrow we believe that Lazio are favourites against Brescia, but the hosts have improved lately, so be careful with them.
