Cadiz – Levante online soccer betting tips for today

Cadiz hosts Levante at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla in a game from the first round of the new La Liga season. Here we go with our free online soccer betting tips for today.

Last season Cadiz kept their place in La Liga and now they will try to do it again. Managed by the 55-years old head coach Alvaro Cervera, Los Piratas now have enough experience to feel confident in the elite division and show their worth. But what they did on the transfer market so far? Let’s take a look at it.

On the summer transfer market Cadiz made a few new signings so far. The club brought in three new players from South America, probably with a hope to see them becoming stars in the European football.

The Paraguayan left-back Santiago Arzamendia arrived from Cerro Porteno while the defensive midfielder Tomas Alarcon was bought from O’Higgins. At the same time Cadiz also signed the Argentinian goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma who was playing for Rosario in the last few years.

But this was not everything Cadiz did on the market so far. The Spanish club also signed the young midfielder Martin Calderon – a product of Real Madrid’s famous academy, and the Armenian defender Varazdat Haroyan who was recently playing for one of the biggest clubs in Kazakhstan – Astana. The winger Alvaro Jimenez and the striker Milutin Osmajic also joined the club from Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.

Of course, signing so much new players would be impossible without cutting some deadwood as well. Many players left Cadiz for good – Jean-Pierre Rhyner, Jose Matos, Gaspar Panadero, Dani Sotres, Pedro Alcala and Sergio Gonzalez. Meanwhile Augusto Fernandez made a decision to put an end of his career. He retired at 35-years of age. At the same time players like Ruben Sobrino, Ivan Saponjic, Jairo Izquierdo and Jeremias Ledesma returned to their clubs after the end of their loan spells.

The veteran striker Alvaro Negredo remains one of the biggest names in Cadiz’ squad at the moment. The 35-years old former international scored 8 goals in La Liga last season which proved that he’s still capable of putting the ball in the net. Yes, it’s far from his best achievements in the peak of his career, but he still managed to do some numbers.

One of Cadiz’ biggest advantages is the fact that Alvaro Cervera knows this team as the back of his hand. He’s coaching Los Piratas from the spring of 2016 and that’s some long period of time at the club. The club would like to use his experience in order to achieve its main goal and once again keep its place in the Spanish top flight.

Levante start the 2021/22 season with the same ambition as their first opponent in the league – survival. Los Granotes finished 14th in the league last season and they won just 9 games during the campaign – some stat they would like to improve in the upcoming campaign.

Just like Alvaro Cervera in Cadiz, Levante’s Paco Lopez is coaching this team from a long time – since the spring of 2018. The 53-years old manager is doing some solid work so far in Valencia and now he has to continue in the same way.

On the summer market Levante didn’t have enough funds to operate with, but they still made some moves to reinforce the team. Levante signed Villarreal’s left-back Enric Franquesa while they also brought in one of the well-known veterans in Spanish football – Roberto Soldado. The 36-years old striker signed a short-term deal with Los Granotes. He should help the team to score more goals and eventually win more points in order to survive. Gimnastic’s winger Roger Brugue is another player who joined Levante this summer.

At the same time Levante said goodbye to the experienced left-back Tono Garcia who will continue his career at Eibar. At the same time they also part ways with the midfielder Cheick Doukoure who decided to join Leganes. Ruben Rochina and Arturo Molina left the club as free agents, too.

Players like Aitor Fernandez, Coke, Oscar Duarte, Ruben Vezo, Nemanja Radoja, Sergio Leon and Roger Marti remain part of Levante’s backbone for the new season. Meanwhile the fans expect a lot from the North Macedonian international Enis Bardhi and the Montenegrian Nikola Vukcevic – two players who have proved they can play good football during the years.

The whole La Liga is in some kind of financial crisis and Levante are not an exception. The club barely had any funds to sign new players, so they paid some small fees for Franquesa and Soldado. But this is the reality for Spanish football at the moment – the COVID-19 pandemic really made these clubs suffer. Just take a look at Barcelona and you will see how serious it is.

One of Levante’s biggest leaders is arguably the team’s captain Jose Luis Morales. The 34-years old winger scored 13 La Liga goals last season and he was instrumental for the team’s survival. Despite his age, Morales continues to be a solid player for Los Granotes. And he will continue to be – we don’t have any doubts about this.

In their last friendly match before the start of La Liga Levante faced Elche away from home and managed to get a 2-1 win at the Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero. They lost their three friendlies before that against Valencia, Southampton and Alaves, so it was a good thing for them to be on the winning side for once.

That’s the free online soccer betting tips for the La Liga fixture between Cadiz and Levante from the first round of the competition. Both of these teams survived in the league last season, so now they will try to do the same thing again. It’s hard to pick a favorite here, but being the home side could give Los Piratas some advantage. Levante are a very experienced team, though – they will be tough against any other team in the country at this moment.
