Fiorentina hosts SPAL at the Artemio Franchi on Sunday in a match from Serie A

Fiorentina hosts SPAL at the Artemio Franchi on Sunday in a match from the 19th round of the Serie A. We will take a look at this game in our soccer matches tomorrow. Let’s start!

Fiorentina are looking for their 5th win for the season and their first since the appointment of the new manager Giuseppe Iachini. He replaced the sacked Vincenzo Montella, but in his debut he only won a point after a 1-1 draw with Bologna.

La Viola were actually just seconds away from beating Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara. Marco Benassi opened the score for the visitors in the first half. Until the 94th minute Fiorentina were leading, but Ricardo Orsolini scored a late equaliser for the Rossoblu, saving the point for Bologna. It was a dissapointing end of the game for Fiorentina.

Despite of the late equaliser, Fiorentina can be happy with their performance, because they almost won on a difficult ground. It seems that Giuseppe Iachini is doing a good job so far.

SPAL are at the bottom of the Serie A, being 20th in the league with just 12 points won. In same time they are just 3 points behind the 17th Lecce and the safe zone, so surely it’s still not a game over for them. They can survive, but they must win points.

And it’s rarely happening, because in their last five matches SPAL won just once and suffered four losses. In the previous round they hosted Hellas Verona at the Paolo Mazza, but got beaten with 0-2. It was a bad performance and more or less the game was decided when SPAL’s Nenad Tomovic got sent off after just 38 minutes of playing.

In our soccer matches tomorrow we expect to see Fiorentina securing their first win since the appointment of the new head coach Giuseppe Iachini. La Viola showed some good things against Bologna and now they are facing at home the team which is at the bottom of the league.
